Just know it’ll take a bit longer in the autumn rain
The key tip for riding in the rain is to recognize that your 20 minute summer ride might take an extra five in November. Wet weather, fallen leaves and fewer daylight hours all suggest that cyclists slow down.
If you commute by bike in the spring and summer, then why not consider extending your active commute? Autumn and winter cycling asks only that you pay attention to the approach of wet weather, shorter days and cooler temperatures. Find out the tips and tricks to deal with the non-summer climate as we talk about and pour over a variety of sample items clarifying how to deal with:
- water repellency,
- quick dry gear,
- greater visibility, and
- layering for warmth.
