Introductory computer skills training now available for staff in preparation for CST

If you’re uncomfortable using computers as a daily tool and wondering about the upcoming Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST), don’t fret. In preparation for CST, no staff will be left behind when it comes to using technology.

An Introductory Computer Skills course is being offered that will introduce or freshen staff’s basic computer skills. This curriculum is for anyone who is not at ease using computers in their daily work.

Log-on and Windows Functions
Using Email
Internet vs Intranet
Data Input and Forms

What you’ll need

VCH computer
VCH username and password
Course Catalogue Registration System (CCRS) account

Accessing the Course

The paper-based module is available from your educator or in the CST Hub starting June 9. You will then need access to a computer to work through the practice part of the module.

Computer Confidence Check is live for all employees

What’s that? It’s a 10-question five minute basic computer check to ensure that you’re ready for electronic health record education. All employees and providers are required to complete the Check before participating in CST learning classes, so log in to CCRS and complete the Check before August 1.
