Double your donation’s impact in August!

During the month of August, donations to the VGH Emergency Department (ED) will be matched by Grovesnor Americas.

Our colleagues in the VGH ED need vital equipment to help accelerate patient diagnosis and save lives. Visits to the ED have increased by 8.5 per cent since 2009/10. In 2016/17 alone, the department saw 95,259 patient visits.

Grosvenor Americas is matching your donations to the VGH Emergency Department, up to $30,000. This means that every dollar you donate in August will have double the impact on emergency room patients.

“Support from donors gives us the best tools and resources to provide world-class medical care to do great work and deliver compassionate care in such a high-intensity environment,” says Dr. Chad Kim Sing, department head and medical director of Emergency Medicine. “Donors play a huge part in allowing us to be able to bring our best to work every day.”

Funds raised in August will help VGH to purchase Omnicell Technology to safely and efficiently store, distribute and manage medications, and TEC4Home, a feasibility study involving home health monitoring technologies for patients with heart failure and pulmonary disease.
