‘I will always remember the extra special effort you extended during my stay’

Dear Lions Gate Hospital:

I have been healthy for most of my life, rarely missing a day of work and happy to spend time hiking in the local mountains.  So on that fateful morning awoken by abdominal pain I realized I needed help.  My deepest gratitude to Lions Gate Hospital Emergency Department staff who promptly ushered me through the admitting process and helped me to be as comfortable as was possible under the circumstances.

The wait to see a physician was short, as was the wait for a CT scan.  Having a diagnosis, I was swiftly moved into the acute care area and well attended to by staff, kindly offering warmed flannel sheets and other comfort measures.  A special thank you to the night staff: Nurses Solly, Alison; Maintenance staff: Charmie and to my Anesthesiologist.  While I was extremely happy to be discharged home, I will always remember the extra special effort you extended during my stay.  Keep up the good work!
