KCC staff thanked for “compassionate care, concern and abundant kindness”
Dear staff and management at the Kiwanis Care Centre:
I would like to sincerely thank all the staff at KCC for their compassionate care, concern and abundant kindness, which they offered my husband Mel and I during the past three years of his stay.
Their jobs and the services they provide are challenging. Not everyone is cut out for that line of work, but I would like to commend them for the exceptional work that they do in providing care to the residents and the support they provide to the loved ones of the residents as they go through a difficult time watching their loved ones change both emotionally and physically.
I would like to take this opportunity to send out a special thanks to the nursing staff (Audrey, Dimple, Judi, Joanne, Susan) and care aides on the unit of Blueridge East.
To the recreational staff, Shelley and Brandi, thank you for making the extra curricular activities an extra special and enjoyable time both for Mel and I.
To Mel’s physiotherapist, Adam, thank you for working with Mel almost every Wednesday. Mel was an active man most of his life so he looked forward to your visits.
These people are a true credit to their profession and I’d like to wish them the best in all their future endeavors.
It is the extra things that the committees and volunteers do to make the residents and family time more enjoyable. For example, the lovely sensory garden with the potted flowers on the 2nd floor deck or the garden out back.
Thanks very much.
