PHSA assumes responsibility for BCCSS

The Ministry of Health has confirmed that the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) has expanded its mandate to assume responsibility for BC Clinical & Support Services (BCCSS).

BCCSS is a not-for-profit society that provides clinical and support services such as BC’s Agency for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, the BC Provincial Blood Coordinating Office, Financial and Employee Services, Supply Chain, and Technology Services.

While these services were formerly under PHSA oversight, this change will see them formally move back into the PHSA portfolio.
