March is Nutrition Month! We all know that life can be hectic, and when time gets tight, nutrition is often one of the first things we let fall by the wayside. That is why this March, dietitians across Canada want to help bring nutrition back to the table and show you how easy it can be to plan, shop, cook – and of course enjoy – nutritious and delicious meals. Here are some quick tips to get you started:
- Plan to make recipes using versatile ingredients that can be used in several recipes
- Read food labels and compare products to choose nutrient rich foods in every aisle of the store
- Healthy eating doesn’t need to be complicated. Frozen fruits, ready to go salads, and pre-chopped vegetables offer simple shortcuts.
- Enjoy eating with friends and family!
