Vancouver Coastal Health has just implemented Telehealth Connect, an application designed to help our Telehealth schedulers better manage Telehealth events.
Telehealth Connect allows schedulers to view and book Telehealth facilities in a single transaction. Not only will it improve coordination of Telehealth services, reporting, and analysis, it will also help VCH Telehealth programs to plan, deliver, and expand their services more effectively.
An aging population combined with rapidly escalating health care costs is the basis for investing in Telehealth technologies. The BC Ministry of Health recognizes Telehealth as a cost-effective, method to provide healthcare to underserved communities. We’ve seen first-hand how it can improve the overall efficiency and quality of healthcare for providers and patients.
This exciting development at VCH is a step forward in achieving the goal of a single shared Provincial Event Management solution for Telehealth, providing integration of Telehealth services for the province.
