Are you a clinician or researcher with Vancouver Coastal Health? Are you interested in moving advancements in knowledge or medical procedures efficiently into clinical practice? Come join VCH Research Institute for the Foundations of Knowledge Translation Course.
Foundations of Knowledge Translation is aimed at increasing the application of knowledge by supporting partnerships between researchers and knowledge users (clinicians and research managers) to move knowledge into action.
The course includes a series of three in-person workshops in Vancouver, online course materials, mentorship, and a community of practice to support local implementation efforts. Half of the selected applicants will be randomized to participate in workshops in 2013/14; the other half will participate in workshops in 2014/15.
Workshop Dates: The first workshop will be held on March 20 and 21, 2013. The second and third workshops are expected to be held in September 2013 and March 2014.

Who can apply: Open to researchers and clinicians affiliated with VCH Research Institute Centres and research programs or the following hospital sites and academic institutions: Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehabilitation Hospital, Richmond Hospital, Lions Gate Hospital, Community Health Services for the Sunshine Coast and Bella Coola, Providence Health Centre – St. Paul’s Hospital, UBC, SFU, UVic, and BCIT.
