The Integrated Protection Services program (IPS) is responsible for security, parking and photo identification for the Lower Mainland. Our services extend to all our acute, residential and community sites and programs. The IPS program is vested with the responsibility to create and maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone in the healthcare setting.
As part of the Lower Mainland Consolidation, 25 excluded and Hospital Employees staff joined Fraser Health, the lead organization for Integrated Protection Services. This transfer to a single employer integrates shared functions and creates more consistency with practices and policies.
The seamless transfer on January 18th had no service impacts across the Lower Mainland.
At this time, our Forensic Security Officer staff will remain Public Service BCGEU employees of FPH and continue as an IPS “virtual consolidation” as we continue to integrate.
The IPS Senior Leadership Team would like to thank those who have helped in making this transition as smooth as possible. Additionally, we would like to acknowledge those who will continue to work toward further consolidations and the development of a centralized network drive and migration over to Fraser Health IT platforms.
