VCH Public Health is launching a new, large scale community health survey and you can be involved from the ground up! Join us for a special kick-off event June 27 at 7 pm where we will unveil My Health My Community and hold a dynamic panel discussion moderated by local media personality Dr Art Hister.
Many of the elements of healthy communities are beyond the control of health care. The interaction between our lifestyles, physical (built) environment and community involvement has a significant influence on our health and wellness yet so much of this information at a community level is not understood or available for us to determine priorities and gaps. My Health My Community, a joint partnership between Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), Fraser Health (FH) and UBC’s Faculty of Medicine eHealth Strategy Office, will gather this information from approximately 50,000 residents, and help VCH, FH, local governments, and others better understand and plan future programs & community services.
This free community event is for staff and members of the public – anyone who is interested in health and well-being.
Where: UBC Robson Square Theatre, Room C300
800 Robson Street, Vancouver
When: 27 June 2013 from 7:00 PM to 8:30
