Celebrating our one-year field clinic service anniversary!

We are excited to announce our one-year anniversary of Workplace Health field clinic services; a new service model introduced in July 2012. In the past, we asked staff to book appointments and come to us; however, we now have a drop in service where we come to YOU!  Now you can get your immunizations, TB tests, and review immunization information close to where you work. To date, we have seen over 3,900 employees and given over 6,700 vaccinations/TB skin tests – this is almost triple the number of employees serviced in the last year in comparison to our old model!

There are regularly scheduled clinics at our larger VCH campuses (lobbies of VGH, LGH and RGH) and rotating clinics at our smaller campuses. We also hold clinics twice quarterly at our rural sites (Powell River, Sechelt, Pemberton, Whistler and Squamish). Since February, we started providing roving clinics in high risk units; a “front door service” for staff unable to leave the unit who are at a higher risk of exposure to vaccine preventable diseases.

Our goal is to ensure all VCH staff are protected from diseases in the workplace by offering a customer service focused program.
