CST Project Update: demos for staff on July 9 and 10
Imagine this: A patient comes into your facility with an acute episode of asthma. At the clinicians’ fingertips is an order set that not only is based on best practice but has links to the evidence that informs this care. As the order set is completed other members of the team are notified of the actions required so the care can be timely and coordinated. That is just one example of what clinicians will be able to do when the Clinical and Systems Transformation Project is fully implemented within VCH, PHC and PHSA.
Demonstrations of the new Clinical Information System (CST, Cerner) have been arranged for staff and physicians. This will provide an opportunity to gain an initial or deeper understanding of some of the future capabilities that we will be designing through the Clinical and Systems Transformation Project.
