Vancouver Prostate Centre receives $800K in Movember funding!

Drs. Artem Cherkasov, Colin Collins, Xuesen Dong, and Larry Goldenberg, researchers with the Vancouver Prostate Centre and VCH Research Institute, have been awarded $800,000 through the Movember Discovery Grants. Vancouver Prostate Centre scientists are also co-investigators on two others grants.

This funding supports prostate cancer researchers on the verge of an early-stage research breakthrough and allows junior and established investigators to pursue important new directions in prostate cancer research. Each recipient of the Movember Discovery Grant will receive $200,000 in funding over a two-year term.

Funding from the Movember Discovery Grants is in addition to $5 million recently awarded to Dr. Ralph Buttyan, another investigator with the Vancouver Prostate Centre and VCH Research Institute.
