Saving 150 lives in 150 days
What affects more lives than a heart attack or stroke? Sepsis. Six VCH sites have joined more than 33 sites across BC in 150 Lives in 150 Days, a pledge to stop sepsis.
Why 150 Lives in 150 Days?
For severe sepsis and septic shock, every five patients treated with a sepsis protocol saves 1 life. Across BC, if together we treat 750 patients with a sepsis protocol, we can save 150 lives in 150 days. The countdown began on October 13, 2013. See how many lives have already been saved
How does it work?
To take part in 150 Lives, every site is signed up by a Team Lead, passionate and proud of their hospital’s effort to deliver the best care in sepsis. Once a site is signed up, clinicians enter sepsis protocols online – there is even an app for that!
Thank you to our sites and team leads below who have signed up for 150 Lives!
