A call for collaboration in the DTES

As part of the next phase of its Downtown Eastside (DTES) Second Generation Strategy, VCH is looking for ideas on how to meet the health care needs of vulnerable residents in the DTES.

“We welcome your submission of any innovative and cost-effective ideas that build on the community consultation reports,” says VCH CEO Dr. David Ostrow in a letter he wrote to the public, “and that will lead to better health outcomes in the Downtown Eastside.”

The project will be accepting ideas from current and prospective service providers, VCH staff and physicians until March 17, 2014. For more information on the project background and how to submit your ideas, go to the DTES site.
