Survey on Patient and Public Engagement gets great response

The Community Engagement (CE) department recently sent out a national engagement survey to VCH leadership to assess the health authority’s capacity for, and culture of, patient public engagement.  The questionnaire was developed by a group of Patient and Public Engagement practitioners and researchers across the country as part of a Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) grant titled “Building a Platform for Quality Public Engagement in Canada”.

The survey is being piloted in several provinces and organizations across the country with the goal of developing a common tool for evaluating engagement activities in the public sector.  The CE Team was delighted to receive an astounding 307 responses to the survey, and we’d like to think this wasn’t only due to the offer of a $10.00 Starbucks gift card!  On behalf of the CE Team we’d like to thank those of you who participated in the survey.
