Upcoming changes to the Provincial eHealth Viewer (CareConnect): how does it impact you?

The Provincial eHealth Services team is proud to present the latest version of the provincial eHealth Viewer:  CareConnect version 3.2 coming to you on April 15, 2014.  This new version continues to facilitate improvements to the healthcare provider experience.  The enhancements include

New, easy to navigate user interface

  • Improved navigation enabling quick access to information while maintaining simplicity and ease of use
  • Modernized look and feel to reflect CareConnect’s deployment across the province
  • Improved user interface to support future initiatives for adding new data to CareConnect

Labs tab consolidation – one place to get all labs

The healthcare provider now has access to Provincial labs (PLIS), Powell River Hospital labs, and VCHA Historical labs, all in one place!

New lab results and documents available

New data available:  Lab results from Powell River Hospital and documents from PHC and VCHA (Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton).

Ability to flag your high priority patients

Selecting to flag your high priority patients makes them more visible and easily accessible.

Clear status indication on PRELIMINARY diagnostic imaging reports

An additional status indicator in the form of a PRELIMINARY watermark has been added on diagnostic imaging reports from FHA, IHA and Children & Women’s Hospital indicating that the report is not finalized.

Print and hole punch documents and reports without losing data

Documents and reports now have adjusted left hand margins to accommodate hole punching.

Improved date displays

There has been an additional focus on alphanumeric date standardization to display the date consistently in the same format: YYYY MMM DD.
