Fruitful discussions at CST Design sessions

Design teams are enjoying lively, focused sessions and making clear progress. Highlights of the week include:

• Perinatal Services BC participating in the integrated Maternity design sessions
• Reviewing a patient education scenario for a rehab clinician, to help define patient education workflows (Clinical Documentation team)
• Important discussions around medication management, including medication schedule changes; transdermal patches; nurse witnesses; ad hoc medication orders; and errors in medication administration

New to the Team

Alesia Tucker is the new Core team manager. Alesia has extensive technical experience, having held several management positions supporting health technology systems at IMITS.

Experienced nurse and clinical educator Prab Gill joined CST as the Senior Project Manager, Clinical Design Teams. Prab currently holds Adjunct Professor status at the University of British Columbia’s School of Nursing.

Our new Clinical Transformation Director, Jan McGuinness, comes to us fresh from a clinical transformation project in the UK. Jan has previously worked for both Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health as an Operational Director of Clinical Programs.
