June is Bike Month
Whether you are already biking, or ready to give it a try, consider participating in Ride Don’t Hide event on Sunday June 22, 2014 to celebrate and strengthen mental health and raise $800,000. Ride Don’t Hide is a community bike ride taking place in 20 communities across Canada benefiting the Canadian Mental Health Association .
June 22 – Ride Don’t Hide
The event is a ride, not a race, for riders of all ages and abilities – from the novice rider to the advanced cyclist. The Greater Vancouver event has 3 routes (10 km, 20 km and 60 km). Regardless of distance, cyclists will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, water to fuel the journey and fans to cheer them on! In addition to enjoying physical and mental health benefits of physical activity, riders help break the stigma associated with mental illness by joining the Ride Don’t Hide community .

The VGH Cycling Centre gives you access to a state-of-the-art end-of-trip facility, with
more than 170 indoor bicycle parking spots, including lockers, showers and a bike repair room for maintenance and tune-ups.
