Flu clinics coming to you!

Flu clinics for staff are coming to a dozen VCH sites starting next week. Check the locations and times and make a date to get your shot. The special VCH staff clinics are listed on this map.
The vaccine is also now available in most doctors’ offices and at pharmacies. Please call ahead to check as some locations may not have the vaccine stocked yet. VCH Public Health clinics (for the public) start October 24. ImmunizeBC’s Flu Locator shows all flu clinic locations for staff and the public. And starting November 3, peer nurse immunizers will be vaccinating staff on numerous units.

Report your immunization

Please report your flu shot within two days of being immunized. Visit https://flu.vch.ca. It takes less than one minute to self-report.

VCH medical staff (doctors, dentists, midwives and nurse practitioners), fellows and other regulated health professionals (scientific & research staff, podiatrists, psychologists, denturists, etc.) can self-report through one of the following methods:

Score a mini-iPad!

Snap a selfie (a photo of yourself) when you get your flu shot and submit it to the VCH Facebook page and be entered to win one of two mini-iPads! Wear a superhero costume or accessory and submit your photo getting a flu shot by November 15. No superhero costume? Post your flu shot selfie by December 1.

If you don’t have a Facebook account email your submission to fluprevention@vch.ca with Super Selfie as the subject. The same deadlines listed above apply.

There will be one prize draw from the superhero submissions (hint: the best costume/effort wins) and one randomly drawn prize draw from all other submissions.
