Important information about 2015 TD1 form change

Due to budget changes related to the enhanced Universal Child Care Benefit, the “Child Amount” tax credit is no longer available on the Federal Personal Tax Credits Return (TD1) form, effective in the 2015 tax year.

This form is used to determine the amount of your tax deductions. If you are currently claiming the Child Amount, your deductions may be lower than the value required and you could end up owing on your 2015 taxes.

If you have claimed the Child Amount in previous years and have not updated your TD1 form in the last six months, you need to complete and submit a new Federal TD1 form as soon as possible and submit it to HSSBC Payroll by:
