Do you like coffee? Take our survey to win!

We want to hear from you: what do you know about accreditation?

Through the hard work and dedication of staff and physicians, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has a successful track record of achieving accredited status for its sites and services, as well as using the accreditation preparation process to continuously improve the quality of our care and services. Please take a few moments to fill out this brief survey about your awareness of, and experience with accreditation. It will help us to better communicate timely, useful information as we prepare for our next accreditation in September 2016. You will be entered into a draw for $20 Starbucks cards (because we think coffee and accreditation go really well together).

Accreditation is a great tool to learn about the things you do well, can do better or didn’t know you had to do. The goal of accreditation is to serve the organization (at every level) in achieving a high(er) level of quality care. It is not a punishment or something to be afraid off. The accreditors are (mostly) volunteers sharing the same passion for quality care as we do. Not saying it isn’t a stressfull, but there is no reason to be afraid (as long as you do your job!) 🙂

Accreditation is good for VCH. If VCH, or any department, is accredited it is evidence of compliance with better quality of care standards.

Accrediation means standardization of high quality care provision to people.
