Pink Shirt Day Team Selfie Contest winners announced!
Join us in congratulating the winning teams of the pink gift basket, Mary Pack Arthritis Centre at VGH and Regional Timekeeping, for having their Pink Shirt Day team photos selected as the most creative! Thanks again to everyone who participated in the photo contest and showed their support towards creating a respectful workplace within their team.
Congratulations
Melanie Diguangco, Scheduling Clerk for the Mary Pack Arthritis Program, accepted the gift basket on behalf of her team and Jennifer Keefe, Patient Services Manager, shared the importance of respect within their team. “Team respect helps us support each other through both positive experiences and challenging periods of change. It is important to create a culture where people feel they can speak their mind in a safe space but also hear differences of opinion openly.” Well said! A respectful workplace is about working collaboratively and respecting differences, and helps us achieve our team goals.
The second gift basket was awarded to the Regional Timekeeping team for their creative photo that shows the power of standing up – together – to stop bullying in the workplace. The Regional Timekeeping team said that respect is a high priority in their area by saying, “Our department is made up of a diverse group that comes from all sorts of backgrounds. Because we respect each other we are able to succeed in working together as a team, helping each other to meet deadlines and problem solve.” Congratulations team!
Thank you
Thanks again to everyone for coming together this Pink Shirt Day – and everyday – to take a stand against bullying at VCH.
