Consider joining the PHC/VCH Knowledge Transfer Challenge!

Did you know it can take an average of 17 years for new research evidence to be adopted into clinical practice? Do you want to learn about moving evidence into practice to improve patient care more efficiently and effectively in real life clinical settings? Consider joining the PHC/VCH Knowledge Transfer (KT) Challenge!

What is the Knowledge Transfer Challenge?

Now in its second year, the Knowledge Translation Challenge supports teams of clinicians to develop and carry out KT plans to integrate evidence into policy and practice in their clinical settings. Each team will also evaluate practice changes resulting from their KT plans. The KT Challenge offers training, mentorship and funding for small teams to lead implementation projects in their practice settings. For the 2016 KT Challenge, we funded six VCH teams.

Who is eligible to participate?

The KT Challenge is designed to support teams of PHC and VCH clinicians who may not have much KT expertise, but are responsible for moving evidence into practice. There must be a minimum of two people per team, and teams can be inter-professional. Applicants will find team members and complete a short application form due on October 23.
