As the VCH AHSI Health Actions Leader, Jennifer will continue to facilitate partnerships with First Nations and Aboriginal communities throughout the VCH geographic region to ensure their active participation in developing innovative solutions to local health service delivery issues.

Whenever you see clinical data being presented at a meeting, cited in a health agency report or quoted in the media, it is likely the end product of HIM teams working behind the scenes to capture this information and make it accessible.

Every couple of months, maternity educators from across the region, together with educators from BC Women’s Hospital and Perinatal Services BC, gather face-to-face.

Regrettably despite VCH’s Patient Confidentiality Policy and frequent education regarding the importance of preserving patient confidentiality, we have investigated two occasions in the past months where VCH individuals have improperly accessed and shared patient care information for no clinical purposes.
