BC research could improve the detection of oral cancer

Oral cancer is responsible for 1,150 deaths in Canada per year, and is normally discovered when a dentist finds an oral lesion during a checkup. New research from a team of B.C. scientists could improve the detection of oral cancer and give patients new treatment options to beat its high mortality rate.
