Karen Burlingame provided an in-depth presentation for Powell River staff at the Coastal Staff Forum at the Powell River General Hospital last week.
Coastal staff forums for Fall 2012 kicked off last week with well-attended group meetings and plenty of discussion and questions around VCH’s True North rollout and other local projects underway. The first of the forums were held for Pemberton/Whistler (Oct. 17) and Powell River (Oct. 19) and will continue into late November.
“The semi-annual forums are an excellent opportunity for us myself and our directors to connect with all of our staff and managers to share information on upcoming projects and changes, celebrate achievements from the past six months and hear what kinds of challenges people are struggling with,” says COO Wendy Hansson. “I welcome everyone to join us as I think the richness is in being able to share our information directly with each other.”
Upcoming staff forums in other Coastal communities are scheduled for:
- Squamish — Nov. 7 (1 – 2:30 pm)
- Sunshine Coast — Nov. 16 (10 – 11:30 am)
- North Shore (Seniors, Palliative & Community) –Nov. 22 (9 – 10:30 am)
- North Shore Acute — TBD
