Recognition and thanks come alive at North Shore Long Service Awards

This is the time of year for our long service awards events across both the Coastal Community of Care and VCH. It’s our time to take a moment to pause and celebrate everyone’s years of service and contributions and to celebrate what all of you do each and every day.

It is a moment in time for all of us to thank our colleagues, teams, staff and to express appreciation for doing a good job, going above and beyond, showing commitment to our patients and families. It’s to honour your achievements and show respect and acknowledge that what you do everyday makes a difference. Everyone who has chosen this path of providing health care—whether it be through direct care roles, support roles, or volunteering, has chosen a life of service.

So whether you were able to join us at the local long service awards, or unable to attend due to other obligations, or it’s just “not your thing”, I want to extend a thank you for your years of hard work, innovation, compassion and contributions to all of our patients/residents/clients, families and colleagues—and to your community at large.
