Just over a month into the revised process for new or replacement photo ID cards, things are going fairly smoothly. However, there are a couple of details worth clarifying for staff and physicians using the new centralized service.
Point #1: For new employees wanting to have their photos taken during Employee Orientation, they must have their photo taken on the first day of this orientation period (from 1100 – 1300).
Point #2: A quick clarification around timing of the new IDs. When the new or replacement cards are produced, they are sent to the centralized processing area at VGH and created within five business and then shipped back to the appropriate facility. With shipping/courier time on both ends of this process, the ID cards can take longer than five business days to get into the hands of users.
Reminder of times and dates of photos
As a final item, a quick reminder of the times that staff, physicians and all others requiring access changes or new or replacement photo ID cards can go to the Paladin Security Office (Room 1.1.17 in the LGH 15th St. Lobby near the LGH Foundation office). Security staff are available to take ID photos on:
- Tuesdays – 0800 to 1200 hrs
- Thursdays – 1200 to 1600 hrs
- Any day of the week – 2100 to 0700 hrs
- DAY 1 of New Employee Orientation days (monthly) – 1100 to 1300
We encourage individuals to book an appointment as they will be served before those without a booking. Times can be scheduled by emailing the Security Supervisor at lg@paladinsecurity.com or by calling 604-984-5943.
