North Shore hosts high-profile public health retirements

Well over 100 people showed up last week to celebrate the careers of Dr. Brian O’Connor and Ted Bruce as they both retired after lengthy careers in Public Health on behalf of VCH-Coastal. The crowd of well-wishers were walked through highlights of each man’s career and treated to touching anecdotes and funny stories from both VCH staff and  representatives of a number of partner organizations.

Dr. O’Connor served as the North Shore Medical Health Officer for 27 years while Ted Bruce worked for VCH on more than one occasion, most recently as the Executive Director for Population Health in the office of the Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Daly.
