Food on Friday with a charitable purpose for LGH
Tomorrow marks the first day of Food Truck Fridays, with portable cuisine from Hotties: Mobile Pasta Bar and Catering and The Reef Runner scheduled to be on hand. Hotties are known for their large portion sizes and will bring a range of organic pastas and sauces while The Reef Runner will be featuring Caribbean fish and chicken rice bowls and roti.
The trucks will be in the upper parking lot (outside the gym) from 11am-2:30pm.
Presented by Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, part proceeds will go to the Foundation to help purchase a new CT Scanner for the hospital.

I usually bring my own lunch but I left it behind today as I knew it was a “Food Truck Friday” and I love the idea that I can eat “something different” and support LGH at the same time.
There were no food trucks in the parking lot today… Are they coming back? I really hope so!

Hi Jana, sorry for any misunderstanding but the food trucks will only be here once a month on the last Friday of the month.

I highly enjoyed the “Food Truck Thursdays” and then the “Food Truck Friday” today. The food is delicious, something different and I like how part of the proceeds go to the Foundation.
However, we were told by one of the food truck vendors today that there “wouldn’t be any more Food Truck Fridays because Sodexo has complained about losing business”! Is this true? Doesn’t Sodexo know that part of the proceeds help fund equipment for LGH?!? I could understand if the food trucks were here everyday, but once a week shouldn’t be that much of a burden on Sodexo. Perhaps a compromise could be made for once a month?
