Patient’s daughter thanks LGH staff for great care
I wanted to send a note to say thanks for the care that my mother received yesterday, July 19th in the Emergency Department at Lions Gate Hospital.
My mom has been recently diagnosed with a couple illness: COPD and Congestive Heart Failure so the symptoms associated sometimes need immediate attention. I want to say from the first coming into the nurse check-in, the processing and attention, to a lovely woman named Marta with her friendly smile, and got mom on her oxygen right away and then shortly after to her room. Paulo, and the nurses that looked after my mom. To the housekeeping staff, all thank you so much!
But what really struck me with the Emergency doctor, Dr. Kung, even with his extremely heavy workload of patients, he still had a warm greeting, smile, and took the time to truly listen to my mom. I can not say enough. Explained everything in detail so you understood what was going on, patient, caring and excelled in bed side manner. I want to say sincere thanks to him, I am truly grateful.
Unfortunately the Emergency staff don’t always get the recognition they so deserve, as most people come in so sick and don’t recall or remember the first point of their recovery at hospital.
Keep up the great work ER team! Warm regards and with gratitude,
Debbie L. (daughter of E. Watters)
