Dedicated staff and physicians honoured at LGH Long Service Awards

Dozens of Lions Gate Hospital staff, physicians and volunteers were on hand in the lobby of the HOpe Centre last Thursday, honouring their colleagues who had achieved long-service milestones with VCH.

“In today’s fast-paced world, where moments of time are more commonly measured in seconds and minutes not days, the kind of commitment that these dedicated folks have shown is getting rarer,” says Coastal Chief Operating Officer Mike Nader.

“It was nice to be able to let them know how much I appreciate their commitment to our organization and thank them for their loyalty.”

Two LGH Auxiliary volunteers were honoured for 55 years of service to the hospital this year (below), Peggy Wheeler and Kathy Butterfield.
