LGH Outpatient Care Centre and Atrium redesign project team seeking input
As planning work continues on the redesign of the LGH Outpatient Care Centre and Atrium, project team staff will be reaching out to patients, family members, staff, physicians and volunteers in the next couple of weeks, seeking their thoughts on issues such as wayfinding, use of art as well as which services or amenities that these user groups feel are important.
“The project is moving along well, and we’ve involved numerous key stakeholders, including staff, physicians, patients and service providers, in the various consultation stages so far,” says Sean Parr, Coastal’s Director of Special Projects. “What we’re looking for at this point is a wider perspective on several specific issues to inform our final decisions.”
To make it easier for people to share their feedback, the project team have set up two processes. First, there will be an information kiosk in the LGH main atrium for the next two weeks beginning Monday, May 11. The kiosk will be showcasing large visuals of the current design drawings and have someone available to answer questions from Monday to Friday (11 am to 2 pm) until May 22.
Second, there will be an online survey, open to all users, entitled the Atrium and Wayfinding Redesign Survey available at: http://fluidsurveys.com/surveys/ce/lgh-atrium-redesign/
“On behalf of the entire team, we’d like to thank everyone who’s willing to provide their thoughts on these changes,” says Sean. “We’d like the final product to truly represent the wishes of the community.”
