LGH patient sends plaudits for knee replacement

In February, 2015 I had total knee replacement surgery at Lions Gate Hospital.

There were a lot of hospital personnel involved in this process.  There was the pre-surgery session which included blood tests, x-ray, pharmacist, physio-therapists and others.  There was admitting, pre-op, the operation, post-op and the ward.  There were many nurses on the ward and visits from others already mentioned.

The care after discharge was with the surgeon and physio-therapy.

The care was, in a word, outstanding.  The ward recovery period could not have been better – very prompt attention and always with the highest level of courtesy, respect and professionalism.

I wish I had every name so I could mention them here, but my list (partial only) is:  Dr. Panagiotopoulos, Dr. Veal, post-op nurse David, the nursing staff, including student nurses and their supervisor-instructors, and physio-therapist Janet (whose assistance contributed very significantly to an excellent recovery).

For me, everything went well and when I mention my surgical experience to anyone, I always include the word ‘outstanding’.

I extend my sincerest, heartfelt appreciation to all of you.
