What will emcee extraordinaire Dr. Allan Burgmann get up to at this year’s North Shore Health Care Awards next Thursday? Last year, Allan, who by day is a psychiatrist at the HOpe Centre, transformed into Monty Hall from Let’s Make a Deal where he had to contend with excited “contestants” like the irrepressible Karen Mayo (LGH nurse educator – ICU).

Congratulations to all who were nominated for a 2015 North Shore Health Care Award for Outstanding Achievement. The Lions Gate Hospital Foundation is looking forward to celebrating all of the outstanding nominees on Thursday, January 21st, 2016 at noon in the Lions Gate Hospital gym. Everyone is encouraged to come out to help celebrate the exceptional work of the North Shore’s health care community.

If you thought last year’s Let’s Make a Deal-themed awards’ ceremony was a laff riot, get ready for emcee Dr. Allan Burgmann to notch up the humour quotient again this year as he steps into the role of a Lion Tamer and introduces the foundation’s mascot, Seymour the Lion. Will Seymour roar or purr? Will the Lion Tamer crack his whip? Or be a lion whisperer? You’ll have to make your way to the LGH gym next Thursday at noon to find out.
