An exciting RN training opportunity (Speciality Nursing – Emergency Nursing) in Bella Bella awaits an individual with an adventurous spirit and a strong sense of curiosity about one of B.C.’s most beautiful areas.
It’s also an opportunity to expand your clinical skill set and learn about the Heiltsuk First Nation.

Bella Bella, also known as Waglisla, is on the east coast of Campbell Island in the Central Coast region of B.C. It is located 181 km north of Port Hardy, on Vancouver Island, and 144 km west of Bella Coola. The community is on Lama Passage, part of the Inside Passage – a transportation route linking the area, and northern British Columbia as well as Alaska for marine vessels carrying cargo, passengers and recreational boaters from the south coast.
Training details
This is a rare and unique opportunity being offered by Vancouver Coastal Health in the Central Coast community of Bella Bella at the R.W. Large Memorial Hospital. Funding will consist of 100% of wages, tuition and books during the training program, which is using the University of Northern B.C.’s Foundations in Emergency and Trauma Nursing Course.

The RW Large Memorial Hospital is situated right on the beach. It has six acute beds, seven continuing care beds and a three-bed emergency department open 24/7, along with a laboratory, diagnostic imaging services and telehealth services. Also within the hospital you’ll find a medical clinic and pharmacy.
