Mother expresses thanks to staff who cared for her son with donation to PRGH

After her son passed away this spring at Powell River General Hospital, a mother wanted to show the hospital staff what their care meant to her family and son over the many years of visits he made to the hospital. Below is the short note that came with a donation to the hospital that the mother has allowed us to share.

To Powell River General Hospital:

This donation is to express my family’s thanks for the care and compassion shown my son during his many stays at P.R.G.H. 2011 – 2017.  He died in hospital on April 16, 2017.

My son was disabled and a difficult patient.  The staff coped with him very well and never complained to me.

I am glad he lived here and had access to your hospital.
