Delivering holiday cheer in Coastal with treats and Christmas traditions
Coastal leaders donned Santa hats and reindeer antlers to spread some holiday cheer throughout Lions Gate Hospital and other Coastal sites this week delivering oranges, chocolates and candy canes to staff.
“VCH – Coastal is lucky to have so many dedicated and caring staff. We want to thank everyone for their hard work over the last year and to wish everyone a joyful and peaceful holiday season and a very Merry Christmas,” says Shannon Chutskoff, Director, Acute Services.

Christmas Eve tradition continues at LGH
LGH’s “Wessel Carollers” continue their annual Christmas Eve tradition with a Dec. 24 sing along. The carollers, a group of VCH employees who enjoy singing Christmas carols, welcome any interested staff, family members or volunteers to join them in singing carols throughout the hospital.
Meet outside the Sacred Space (Chapel) at 3 pm for a 3:15 pm start on the seventh floor. If you have any questions, connect with Rosemary Hill at 604-788-2772, email Susie Chant at Susie.Chant@vch.ca or call Chaplain Andres Rebane at 604-984-5894.
Says Rosemary: “If you play an instrument – bring it along as this would certainly add to our vocal ensemble, always looking for more guitar players. Our patients at LGH very much appreciate the visit and sing-song on Christmas Eve. We look forward to seeing you all there.”

It was a nice surprise to see the delivered treats when I arrived at work.
Thank you very much for the mandarins!
