Bella Coola General Hospital celebrates staff for their long service
Bella Coola General Hospital held its 2018 Long Service Awards on March 29 to celebrate a trio of staffers with more than 10 years of service.
Celebrating 10 years were Donna Pepper, diagnostic services manager, and lab assistant Ken Morton. Mental health worker Carole Clark was honoured for her 25 years of service.
“A special thank you to Donna, Ken, and Carole for the many years of dedication and commitment to our wonderful hospital and community,” said hospital manager Sharon Carroll, who presented the staff with flowers and a small gift bag. “You are wonderful mentors and experts in your fields and I look forward to working with you for many more years. Also, an immense thank you to every employee for all you do, including Leeanne Harrison and Donna Ratcliff who I was informed have been here at Bella Coola General Hospital for 35 and 40 years.”
William Findlay, Director, Central Coast and Client Relations & Risk Management, echoed Sharon’s sentiment.
“The Bella Coola Valley is fortunate to have such a wonderful and dedicated group of professionals who deliver extraordinary care recognizing the trials and tribulations of such a rural site,” says William.

I wish to thank all the staff at our hospital for making my stays more bearable. No one likes to be in the hospital, but the staff at BCGH go a long way to making the clients feel that they are special.
I was told before moving here that this was the best hospital on the coast and you do not disappoint.
