Meet the Richmond Accreditation surveyors
Curious to know who will be visiting your team in November, and what they are like? You can read all about our surveyors, their areas of expertise, and the Richmond programs that they will be visiting by going to the Richmond Accreditation site on VCH Connect. Just click on each surveyor’s name to see their Accreditation Canada bio.
Accreditation surveyors are healthcare professionals from all over Canada. They are not employed by Accreditation Canada, but rather, volunteer their time to survey. All surveyors hold leadership positions in health organizations across the continuum, which ensures that they have the current clinical and administrative expertise to “walk the talk” and understand how the standards apply to real-life settings and the things we do every day.
Ask any surveyor why they choose to volunteer their time to conduct surveys for Accreditation Canada, on top of the demands of their regular job, and you will likely get the same answer: site visits are an excellent way to connect with peers across the country, share learning, and bring back all kinds of great ideas to try in one’s own organization. Our very own COO, Mike Nader, volunteers as an Accreditation Canada surveyor, and can attest to how much he appreciates the learning that he brings back every time.
Over the next week, we will also be posting the site visit schedule for November 25-29, listing the different activities and tracers that will be taking place throughout Richmond from the moment our surveyors arrive, until they debrief with us and leave a report with their observations. As we approach the site visit, you will also find other handy resources on the Richmond Accreditation site on VCH Connect to help you plan the logistics of the visit in your area.
