Richmond accreditation: ready to shine
We are now just over one week away from our accreditation site visit. We have come a long way in our quality journey, and are looking forward to welcoming our guests and showcasing the excellent care that we provide every day.
Check out the Accreditation Resources page to find helpful tools for the logistics of being “hosts with the most”:
- The consent form to document that your patients, clients and residents (or their substitute decision makers) have agreed to let the surveyors see their medical record and interview them as part of the tracer
- A customizable notification poster to display on your premises about one week in advance, so that any patients or visitors can be aware of the surveyor’s presence on tracer day: just right-click, choose “Edit Slides” to enter your own tracer date and time, and print
- An overview of the site visit logistics and what to expect on the day of the tracer
- Tips for how physicians can expect to be involved in tracers
Wondering what else you can do to make sure that our surveyors’ first impression is consistent with the high quality of care and the great work that your teams do every day?
At the last Richmond Leaders Forum, we practiced putting on our “surveyor hat” and paying attention to the visual cues that our surveyors will be noticing during the site visit. Check out the slides, with a picture gallery of examples, or use this one-page reference of visual prep tips for making the best first impression.
The Accreditation Support Team will be on call during the week of the site visit to answer questions, respond to requests for data, and to support you with anything else that may arise during the tracer.
