It’s a tie!

Staff on two units in the hospital have been enjoying a friendly but heated competition over the past year for the coveted Hand Hygiene Heroes trophy.

In 2013 the trophy was split evenly between the two units: 3North won it five times, 3South won it five times and they tied for highest score one month. Staff on ICU won the trophy one month as well. The 3North team also set a record last year by earning a 95% compliance rate in December (3South earned a 93% rating – sooooo close!).

Congratulations to everyone on both teams. Great job! Your commitment to patient care, safety and quality is truly inspiring.
