Students receive Auxiliary bursaries
Three students who volunteer at Richmond Hospital have received bursaries to help them with their studies in the healthcare field.
This year’s recipients are:
- Minnie Teng volunteers at the Minoru Residence and is part of the “Neater Nails” therapy program. Minnie is presently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science, Life Sciences program. Her goal is to become a Doctor.
- Young Gong volunteers in the Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging, and Surgical Daycare as a Navigator. Young is presently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy program and his goal is to be a Pharmacist.
- Leyla Salmi volunteers in the Emergency Department. Leyla is presently taking General Biology. Her goal is to obtain a Masters in Health Administration.
Bursaries, in the amounts of $500, $1,000 and $1,500 are awarded annually to Richmond Healthcare volunteers pursuing a career in the healthcare care field.
