Golf tourney raises funds for ED equipment

More than $250,000 was raised at the annual Richmond Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament, held June 6.

This year’s event brought together Richmond Hospital’s Emergency Department physicians, donors and sponsors, who rallied to raise funds for important new equipment for the ED, including a state-of-the-art portable digital x-ray machine and five portable patient monitors.

Through the generous donations received, the five portable patient monitors will be purchased right away.

“When you face an unexpected health emergency, it is reassuring to know that expert care is close by. Richmond Hospital’s Emergency Department is always here for you and your family, 24 hours a day,” said Dr. Richard Chan, Head of the Emergency Department at Richmond Hospital.
