Richmond Adult Day Program expansion is complete

Supporters, partners and donors celebrated the official grand opening last week of the new S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Jackson Lam Adult Day Centre, located in Steveston. Its 25 new spaces will deliver 37,650 new service hours annually, serving an additional 125 new clients per year, which will help meet the growing demand for this type of service in Richmond.

VCH is contributing $520,000 annually in operational funding for the program. A $300,000 donation from Mrs. Ping Mah and the Lam family enabled construction of the Jackson Lam ADP space within the Austin Harris Residence facility.

In addition to the new David Lam ADP, Richmond’s existing day program provider, the Kinsmen Care Centre, has now completed its expansion of ADP availability to include Saturday access.

Together, the David Lam and Kinsmen expansion projects have effectively doubled the available number of ADP space in Richmond for seniors.
