My mother was brought into Richmond Hospital several weeks ago.  It was a hard day. They didn’t think my mom was going to pull through. The doctors tried to prepare us for the worst. Well, my mom is a fighter and not only did she pull through, but she amazed the doctors with her quick recovery. I want to mention that the RN, named Jenny, was awesome. She was kind and caring. She explained everything that was being done and why it was being done. I don’t think she could be any better. It was a very emotional and stressful time for us and she made it bearable. Please pass on a big thank you to her from us.

“You are all a great team”

I was recently a patient at the Richmond Hospital Emergency Department. I was very impressed by the quality of care and the professionalism of the staff. From the first face I saw at triage (Phil), to the lady who did my ECG, the lab technician and, most importantly, the nurses, I felt I was in great, capable hands. I just want to commend your whole team. Some of the nurses names that I can remember were Cindy, Eric and Charing. They were all incredible. They were very, very busy, but were continuously patient and caring. Dr. Jesse Janssen was also incredible. He seemed to really care and repeatedly apologized for how busy they all were. This compliment is coming from a fellow registered nurse in a different part of Canada.

Good work Richmond Hospital ED. You are all a great team. Thank you again.
