Please join me in welcoming Andrea Wnuk to her new position as the Respiratory Therapy Practice Leader for Vancouver Acute. Andrea started in this position on August 27, 2012 and is gradually making the rounds, meeting and greeting and getting oriented to her new role.
Andrea comes to us with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology and a Diploma in Respiratory Therapy. In addition, she will be starting the Masters of Health Administration program at UBC in September, 2012. Andrea has worked as a front-line Respiratory Therapist in a variety of VCH settings including UBCH, GF Strong, George Pearson Centre, BC Cancer Agency, and most recently as a charge therapist and member of the Critical Care Outreach service at VGH. She brings strong energy, enthusiasm and passion to this new role.
Andrea is taking over from Corrie Irwin who has been in this role in an ‘acting’ capacity for the past 18 months. Corrie moved to a Patient Services Manager position on August 13, 2012. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Corrie for her support and commitment to Respiratory Therapy Professional Practice and wish her all the best in her new PSM role.
