Patient simulation, using state-of-the-art technology, is becoming an integral part of health education in most developed countries. Using simulation, medical education is able to build bridges and close gaps between the theory and practice of medicine, as well as offer invaluable individual and team training.
The University of British Columbia has a large-scale plan to provide simulation technology for health education to all BC health care professionals, regardless of their institutional affiliation and/or level of expertise and training.
In this session, you will see and participate in a simulated environment where students learn how to deal with difficult situations in a laboratory setting, without any risk to a patient. We are looking forward to seeing you there and fostering your participation in this technology-driven session, which provides a safe and effective environment for health education.
Successful participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
